An acute care facility in Syracuse, NY is looking to fill an immediate need with the addition of a new Surgical Technologist.About the Opportunity:Shift: Days or EveningsSchedule: 5 shifts per week (including weekends & holidays)Hours: 7am to 3:30pm or 3pm to 11:30pmSetting: Acute CareResponsibilities:Gather, check, and organize all necessary surgical instruments, supplies, and equipmentSterilize equipment and maintain a sterile fieldAssist with patient prepping, including skin cleansing and drapingPerform instrument and sponge counts before surgeryAnticipate the surgeon's needs and efficiently pass instruments and suppliesMonitor blood loss and fluid levelsAssist with handling specimensMaintain a sterile field throughout the procedurePerform final instrument and sponge countsClean and prepare instruments for sterilizationAssist with room cleanup and preparation for the next patientQualifications:3 years of recent experience in a Level 1 or Level 2 Trauma CenterBLS certificationExperience with robotics, Neuro, Ortho, General, ENT, Vascular, GYN casesScrub experienceExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsDesired Skills:Surgical Technologist certificationPrior experience in an Inpatient settingby Jobble More...
