Vest Labs () is building a cutting-edge digital asset financial exchange backed by Jane Street and powered by zero-knowledge proofs. Our mission is to rebuild every financial product into their trustless counterpart.
We are creating Vest, a decentralized clearinghouse and trustless prime brokerage that enables a composable financial ecosystem cross margined via a bespoke risk engine. Our first product is a highly capital efficient perpetual futures exchange with its solvency secured algorithmically.
Our team and advisors include computer scientists, cryptographers, DeFi founders, and physicists. We are backed by visionary venture capitalists, quantitative trading firms, and global financial institutions such as Jane Street, QCP Capital, BBH, Selini Capital, MatterLabs, Symbolic, and executives from BlackRock and Citadel who share our vision for a fully democratized financial system.
We're looking for high-agency individuals who want to joins us in shaping the next era of finance.
Responsibilities:

• Scale and develop a high-throughput, robust matching/risk engine
  
• Build supporting microservices like order management systems, orderbooks, oracles, indexing,---etc.
  
• Conduct research in the exchange design space: to improve overall decentralized architecture or to improve user UX (account abstraction, gasless transactions---etc.)
  
  Qualifications:
  
  
  
  • 2+ years of experience. Familiarity with Python and Rust or other low-level programming languages.
    
  • Transparent communication
    
  • Fast and scrappy in prototyping
    
  • Experience in distributed systems and messaging (Kafka)
    
  • Can join in person NYC
    
    Bonus if:
    
    
    
    • Worked in algorithmic trading
      
    • Experience in developing decentralized protocols, smart contracts, zero-knowledge circuits
