New Hope Mills, located in Auburn, NY, and home to our well-known pancake mixes and our growing Store and Caf--, seeks a Maintenance Technician to join our team. This position will perform highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive, and productive maintenance systems and processes. We are seeking an individual with strong knowledge of machine operations with the ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders as well as diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test, and make adjustments. HS diploma is required and an AAS degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance is preferred. Four or more years of manufacturing experience; hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and industrial skills with some PLC experience and HVAC preferred. Details The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive, and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site's business goals and objectives. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: - Performing highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the facility's equipment
- Providing emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performing scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service
- Performing simple machinist duties and responsibilities such as machine setup.
- Performing mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting, and repair of production machines
- Reading and interpreting equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
- Diagnosing problems, replacing or repairing parts, testing, and making adjustments
- Performing regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities
- Performing a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions
- Using a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties
- Detecting faulty operations and defective material and reporting those and any unusual situations to proper supervision
- Complying with safety regulations and maintaining clean and orderly work areas
