- Earn Extra through Shift Premiums SUMMARYRochester Regional Health offers paid Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A.) Training. This free training program is a five week long commitment and is comprised of both classroom instruction and hands-on clinical experiences. The program also offers an education stipend to support you while you're training. After program completion, trainees will be eligible for employment in our long term care facilities. Students will not work while in program.What is a C.N.A? A Certified Nursing Assistant provides direct health care needs to patients, often under the supervision of a nurse. C.N.A responsibilities include feeding, monitoring the health of patients, bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting and specimen collection.The C.N.A. Trainee role is a transitional, entry-level position designed to train on the necessary skills required to become a Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A). Candidates hired into this position are required to take and pass the C.N.A Training Class and state mandated test in order to earn their C.N.A Certification.COUNTIES SERVED: Wayne/Ontario County TRAINING LOCATION: Clifton Springs Nursing HomeDEPARTMENT: Long Term CareSCHEDULE: Monday-Friday 8am-4:00pm LENGTH OF TRAINING: 3 weeksCLASS START DATES: Classes offered monthlyWORK LOCATIONS: Demay Living Center (Newark, NY) or Clifton Springs Nursing Home (Clifton Springs)COMPENSATION: $15 an hour during orientation and $1,500 stipend during training course. Rate increases to $19.25 an hour once certified and employed as C.N.A.
