ABOUT THE ROLE Peloton is looking for a driven and experienced general litigator to join our Litigation, Government Investigations, Risk & Insurance Team. In this role, you will oversee a broad range of claims and matters, successfully resolving disputes from inception through trial and appeal, aligning Peloton's business interests with litigation strategy, seeing around corners and mitigating legal risk, and building positive relationships with business colleagues. The ideal candidate has successfully litigated outcomes across issue areas, has developed and operationalized litigation strategy, and can collaborate toward shared business goals. The role will be based out of our New York City headquarters office and will be required to follow our hybrid policy. Currently, hybrid team members report to the office weekly on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, with the understanding that hybrid team members may be requested to be present at a physical Peloton location, in NYC or otherwise, based on team or business needs. YOUR DAILY IMPACT AT PELOTON - Responsible for developing comprehensive dispute resolution and litigation strategies aligned with Peloton's business goals and tailored to each case's unique objectives
- Oversees a broad range of disputes, including class action, commercial, consumer, and product liability claims
- Drive high value and efficient litigation outcomes, including by assessing legal risks, partnering with outside counsel, managing litigation budgets, prioritizing resource allocation, and fostering collaborative team relationships
- Maximize cross-functional relationships with the broader legal team and internal partners, including by keeping key parties informed of case developments and strategic decisions, and staying on top of legal trends impacting Peloton
- Support, advise, and train business partners on legal issues and matter-derived learnings
- Demonstrate a keen ability to issue-spot sensitive legal and business concerns within complex programs and a strong sense of when to raise (and not raise) those matters to internal cross-functional partners YOU BRING TO PELOTON
