Human Resources Generalist Seneca Foods in Geneva, NY is currently seeking aHuman Resources Generalist to join our team. HR Generalist supports the HR Manager. This is not a remote position. Must be available Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. during non-pack periods and flexible to adjust schedule to include some weekends. RESPONSIBILITIES: - Respond to managers and supervisors concerning individual employees or groups, identifying, resolving and documenting employee-related matters; attendance, disciplinary
- Leave Management (FMLA, STD/LTD) and Workers Compensation, in accordance with Regulations, HR best practices and Corporate Policies
- Recruitment
- Onboarding, New Hire Orientation, Trainings
- Exit activities
- Performance Reviews (tracking, reminder notices to supervisors)
- Development of value-added HR Projects
- Ensures compliance with all applicable state and federal wage and hour laws.
- Prepares government reports related to EEO compliance or other HR functions.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS: - Requires prior knowledge of principles and practices of payroll and Human Resources.
- Prior experience with an HRIS database preferred.
- Requires effective oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and computer literacy.
- The ability to research and analyze various different types of data information.
- Ability to organize and prioritize work.
