Anesthesiologist - RESPONSIBILITIES (listed are included but not limited to) - The Anesthesiologist assists in directing and coordinating activities in the Anesthesia Department.
- Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures.
- The Anesthesiologist provides clinical anesthesiology services and patient care pre- and post-op.
- Monitors patients while in surgery.
- Cares for patients in ICU, short stay unit, acute pain management, and emergency airway management.
- Reviews medical files and lab results.
- The Anesthesiologist informs patients about risks associated with anesthesia. Anesthesiologist - REQUIREMENTS
- Board Certified/Board Eligible by the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA).
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), or equivalent.
- Minimum of two years of recent experience.
- M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine.
- Completion of approved Residency in Anesthesia as per ECFMC and FLEX requirements.
- Current licensure as a Physician and possess of a current license to practice medicine in any State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia.
