job purpose:A new $650M production facility (745,000 sq. ft) is being constructed in Webster, New York.-- The facility is expected to bring 250 jobs to Webster and Monroe County and represents a $650 million investment in total. It is expected to be operational by late 2025, processing an estimated 7.5 million pounds of locally sourced milk per day by the end of 2026.The project will be split into two major programs (1) engineering construction through performance acceptance testing and (2) establishing all elements of a functioning supply chain. This role will be responsible for program (2), delivering in full, on time and in budget with a particular hands-on focus on workforce development, asset care strategy and automated warehousing operations. --This will include the cross-functional set up, leading the project management and execution, through organizational set-up, from project kick-off until the handover to the operational business. The workstream leads will be a blend of dedicated and part time project resources reporting to existing functional leaders but assigned to the project team. --responsibilities:Define the scopes, designs, budget, and timeline of the program based on customer needs and regulatory requirements.Oversee the overall project management and execution of including developing project organization, plans, timelines, budgets, and reporting.Project management of all supply chain workstreams through plant start up, keeping their functional managers in the loop and escalating issues as requiredBuild a capable and motivated project team culture aligned with company values. Lead and mentor Project Managers and Workstream leads and their teams delivering the greenfield project.Establish effective governance over safety, quality, environment and deliver agreed objectives throughout the project.Drive the development of the asset care team and strategy utilizing the existing CMMS platform and company site engineering resources to ensure a comprehensive program is established upon plant start up.Oversee workforce development workstream with incoming Plant Director to ensure effective handoff and plant capabilities.Oversee the automated warehouse workstream, working with the dedicated warehouse project operations leader to ensure a seamless start up.Understand operational requirements for data management, business analytics, and operating systems to ensure the project is handed over with complete solutions in place.Ensure compliance with State and Project tax incentives, applicable laws and commitments to local authorities.Identify and manage risk through all projects, escalating issues when required.Build strong, open relationships with internal and external stakeholders, managing expectations and ensuring effective communications.Manage project expenditure and cash flow providing accurate monthly rolling final account forecasts.Price, submit and negotiate variation claims.Full oversight of contracts administration.skills/qualifications required:Degree in Engineering (Mechanical preferred) or supply chain related discipline. PMP qualification an advantage.7+ years
experience in the food, beverage, chemical or a similar industry; experience in maintenance and reliability engineering within a plant environment a distinct advantageDemonstrated experience in program/project management in Engineering and/or Supply Chain environments.Proven track record building teams and establishing strong operating routines and performance processes.Possess strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize to meet deadlines and stakeholder requirements.Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team with entrepreneurial spirit and end to end thinking.Capability and motivation to lead & influence, support morale, provide focus, help the team manage ambiguity and work in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment.Passion for sustainabilityProblem-solving competencies as well as conceptual thinking and a continuous improvement mindsetDemonstrated experience in providing business insights and consulting with stakeholders at all levels.Excellent communication and engagement skills required, with the ability to engage at all levels of the business, and with external parties.Structured and autonomous way of working with high levels of personal energy, drive, and hands-on mentality.position location:--Webster, New Yorkreports to: Senior Director, Project Management with dotted Line to VP Manufacturingbase pay range:--$140,000-$165,000*Base pay offered may vary depending on geography, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
