Location Address:1100 Central Avenue SE Albuquerque, NM 87106-4930 Compensation Pay Range:Minimum Offer $37.29 Maximum Offer $56.92 Summary:Our Downtown Hospital Inpatient Rehab Department is seeking a Occupational Therapist (OT) to evaluate patients regarding the application of a wide variety of therapeutic interventions for rehabilitation of physical and developmental disordersHow you grow, learn and thrive matters here.• Educational and career development options, including tuition and certification reimbursement, scholarship opportunities• Staff Safety (a wearable badge that allows nurses to quickly and discreetly call for help when safety is a concern)• Differentials for night/weekend shifts, higher education, certifications and various lead roles (for eligible positions)• Malpractice liability insurance• Loan forgiveness through the New Mexico Higher Education Department • EPIC electronic charting system Type of Opportunity: PRN FTE: 0.00 Job Exempt: No Work Shift: Days (United States of America) Responsibilities:Evaluates and treats patients regarding the application of a wide variety of therapeutic interventions for rehabilitation of function/occupation and developmental disorders.Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span of patients servedOversees and insures a comprehensive rehabilitation program designed to meet the physical, cognitive, psychosocial, and immediate environmental well-being of the patientPromotes patient/caregiver self-determination by optimizing outside resource utilization to achieve the highest level of independence.Coordinates and communicates with various disciplines or services involved in patient care.Coordinates efforts toward discharge goals established at initial evaluation and during episode of care.Other duties as assigned.Pediatric Occupational Therapist the following also apply:Provide direct patient care and/or consultative services for children, teens, and infants in the PICU, PEDs oncology unit and the premature and/or medically complex infants in the Neonatal intensive care unit (NICU).Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span of babies and children served.Oversees and ensures a comprehensive rehabilitation program designed to meet the physical, neurodevelopmental outcomes, supports infant/child mental health and immediate environmental well-being of the infant/child.Promotes infant/caregiver/parent self-determination by optimizing outside resource utilization to achieve the highest level of independence.Nurture the infant-family dyad.Coordinates and communicates with various disciplines or services involved in the infants/child's care.Coordinates efforts toward discharge goals established at initial evaluation and during episode of care.Is an infant, child, and family advocate.This is an advanced practice area and not appropriate for COTA or New graduate OT.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications:Bachelors Degree in Occupational Therapy requiredMasters degree preferred.NM Occupational Therapist LicenseBLS certification REQUIRED at time of hireOccupational Therapist requires detailed knowledge of occupational therapy in terms of what and how work is to be done as well as why it is done, this level includes interpretation of data.Less than one year experience in occupational therapy.Basic computer skills required.Basic understanding of the rules and regulations of the specificsettingWe're all about well-being, starting with yours.Presbyterian employees have access to a fun, engaging and unique wellness program, including free on-site and community-based gyms, nutrition coaching and classes, mindfulness and meditation resources, wellness challenges and more.Learn more about our employee benefits.About Presbyterian Healthcare ServicesPresbyterian exists to improve the health of patients, members, and the communities we serve.
