Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: CVICU - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 04/20/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 48 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - CVICU Job Details: • Work in Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit with 1:2 patient ratios • 36 or 48 hour contracts available per week with 72-hour orientation • 2 years of experience required, CVICU experience preferred • Weekend coverage as needed • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, TNCC, NIHSS preferred • May float to other ICUs, PCU floors, ED for admitted patients, and PACU for admitted patients • Care for adult and geriatric patients in 12-bed unit • Manage patients with CABG, aortic aneurysm repair, cardiac arrest, heart failure, sepsis, and other cardiovascular conditions • Perform post-operative open heart care, bedside procedures, CRRT, ECMO, IABP, Impella management • Handle specialized equipment including Swan-Ganz catheters, arterial lines, CVCs, chest tubes • Use Cerner charting system and various monitoring equipment • Black scrubs required • No locals within 100-mile radius accepted • Flu vaccination required with medical/religious exemptions only • Minimum 10-week contract required • RTO restrictions apply with approval needed for requests over 7 days Facility: This Level I Trauma Center is a major teaching hospital and children's hospital providing comprehensive acute care services.
