Registered Nurse (RN) | Progressive Care Unit Location: Albuquerque, NM Agency: Lancesoft Inc Pay: $2,600 to $2,620 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Deliver direct patient care utilizing the nursing process—assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient needs and responses. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians or standard care protocols. Monitor and document patient status, progress, and any changes in condition. Collaborate with physicians, allied health professionals, and families to ensure comprehensive patient care. Provide patient and family education regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and discharge instructions. Supervise and delegate tasks to LPNs and unlicensed assistive personnel as appropriate. Ensure adherence to all safety, infection control, and patient privacy standards. Participate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives and maintain professional development. Must successfully pass the Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia (BCA) test administered onsite before starting the assignment (one retest opportunity available). Floating between departments and/or local facilities within 20 miles may be required Requirements Required Skills & Experience Minimum 2 years of current experience in an 18 bed Telemetry or Progressive Care Unit . Experience in fast-paced, team-oriented environments. Completion of at least one prior 13-week travel assignment . Preferred: Experience with Epic EMR . Licensure & Certifications Required: Active RN license in the State of New Mexico or Compact State. BLS and ACLS certifications (from AHA, American Health & Safety, or American Red Cross), NIHSS. Must pass the Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia/Dysrhythmia Assessment (BCA) prior to or during the first week of assignment. Preferred: NIHSS certification.
