As an Armorer, you will play a critical role in inspecting, repairing, and servicing firearms to meet stringent safety and performance standards. Operating in a dynamic training environment, you will collaborate with law enforcement professionals and instructors to support essential training programs. - Inspect, test, maintain, and prepare firearms for marksmanship training.
- Clean, store, and maintain weapons in accordance with technical manuals and regulations.
- Maintain and operate computerized target systems and mechanical target controls.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and replace components of motors, electronic equipment, communications equipment, and automated target systems using hand tools, diagnostic tools, and standard testing equipment.
- Disassemble, clean, diagnose issues, and perform field and bench repairs on training and duty weapons and magazines using hand and power tools. Identify problems, install new parts, reassemble, and retest to ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications.
- Organize, store, and maintain accurate computerized inventory of weapons, ammunition, unexploded ordnance, and related materials.
- Issue, collect, and account for all weapons and ammunition, ensuring proper storage, security, and accurate inventory in designated bunkers. Qualifications:Certified Armorer/Firearms Range Master must possess the following minimum requirements:
