Location: Rio Rancho, NM 87124 Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days 4x10hours (0630 AM start times. Call 1-5 times per 6 weeks. Call does work weekends.) Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours weekly Qualifications: Required BLS from AHA RN NM or Compact State License 2 years current experience required in Large Operating Room Candidate must be able to scrub. Job Summary: -Utilizes the nursing process to provide direct patient care to an assigned group of patients during a shift. -Ensures safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable care of patients. -Provides direct patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting individual patient needs, actions taken, and patient responses. -Coordinates patient care through collaboration with the patient/family and healthcare team. -Initiates, utilizes, and documents appropriate protocols and standards of care. -Administers medication and treatments as prescribed by physician or standard protocols and documents according to policy. -Identifies and meets patient and family learning and discharge needs on admission and throughout the episode of care. -Assumes responsibility for the clinical supervision of LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel. -Completes patient population/age-specific/procedure and protocol education and competency testing per unit standards.
