    Responsibilities
    
    
    • Demonstrate expert knowledge of sterile techniques, instrumentation, equipment, and sterile field setup including sterilization methods.
    • Support physician's surgical practice in a variety of procedures including a specialty in the operating room.
    • Function as a team member in planning for special needs of patients.
    • Consistently demonstrate performance in a manner conducive to safe, efficient and swift completion and turnover of a surgical procedure.
    • Ensure accurate count of sponges, needles, and instruments used in all procedures at all times.
    • Responsible for completing basic OR Tech competencies in addition to departmental specific competencies.
    • Take ownership of assignments; other duties as assigned or requested.
    • Communicate and listen effectively with internal and external customers; effectively understand instructions and share knowledge.
    • Cooperate and interact with supervisors, peers, other departments, and all customer groups demonstrating our commitment to "service".
      Qualifications
      
      Job Requirements
      • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
      • Graduate of accredited Surgical Technology program or clinical-based program.
      • Six (6) months experience in an operating room or ambulatory surgery unit.
      • CPR Preferred Job Requirements
        • Certified OR Tech
        • 1 year OR experience
