Job DescriptionCome join us as a Module Equipment Technician with Probe Card Maintenance in the Fab 9 Sort organization and together let's grow and develop the next leading technology. We offer a compressed work week schedule where we work four days on with three days off one week. We're investing 3.5 billion dollars to expand and modernize our Rio Rancho facilities and creating thousands of new jobs along the way - all while building on our commitment to corporate responsibility with our RISE (Responsive, Inclusive, Sustainable, Enabling) strategy.Probe Card Technicians analyze and repair probe cards, which are devices that are used to test and measure electronic devices, such as integrated circuits (ICs), at various stages of the manufacturing process. They perform functions associated with maintaining and repairing probe cards including: - Visual inspections utilizing microscopes, equipment maintenance, and training.
- Perform repairs on probe cards consisting of multiple fine pins.
- Willingness to use and operate some measuring equipment such as microscope.
- Responsible for repairing equipment in a qualitative way. Also, responsible for preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, spares, and sustaining.
- Performs preventative maintenance, and/or assists in troubleshooting to determine problems in equipment used in the manufacturing process.In addition, the Probe Card Technician is responsible for:
- Improvement processes, troubleshooting nonstandard events associated with the probe cards, and reviewing technological health and stability.
- May participate in safety forums and Emergency Response Team as required.
- Work is very complex and is performed within the spectrum ranging from narrowly defined parameters and limited judgment up to highly complex and nonstandard assignments in nature and broadly defined parameters.
- High degree of judgment and initiative is required in resolving complex nonstandard problems and developing recommendations.
- Receives general instructions on routine work and detailed instructions on new work.
- Following detailed standardized procedures and instructions and works very closely with PCM engineers.Relocation assistance provided.QualificationsMinimum Requirements:The candidate must possess at least one of the following:Associate's degree/certification in equipment focused program (including, but not limited to: Applied Electronics or Electronic Technician) ANDOne of the following experience requirements obtained in the last 5 years:
- 1+ years of semiconductor probe card maintenance and repair experience OR
- 2+ years of microscope work in a lab environment OR
- 2+ years of experience in watch and jewelry repair in a professional capacity OR
- 2+ years of circuitry soldering and repair.
- Must be willing to lift up to 35 pounds (18 kgs) 4 times a day.
- Position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
