The Radiation Therapy Extern safely and correctly operates equipment delivering ionizing radiation for the purpose of treating neoplastic diseases or for other therapeutic purposes under the direct supervision of a Radiation Therapy Technologist. - Reports to: Lead Radiation Therapy Technologist, Radiation Therapy Technologist. Minimum Education: - High school diploma or equivalent. - Bachelor's degree preferred. - Minimum Work Experience: - Must be knowledgeable of the operation methods and safety standards of all equipment producing ionizing radiation within the department. - Must be able to handle radiation sources. - Possess experience and capabilities as seemed sufficient by the Chief Therapist and Radiation Oncologist. - Licensure/Certification: - Must be certified by the American Register of Radiologic Technology (ARRT). - Must be licensed by the state or eligible for licensure. - BLS certification required. - Must obtain certification within 90 days of hire. - Equal opportunity and affirmative action employers and are looking for diversity in candidates for employment: Minority/Female/Disabled/Protected Veteran More...
