Job Title: Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours (07:00 - 19:30) Experience: 2 years License: Active Registered Nurse License Certifications: BLS, AWHONN Intermediate, NRP Must-Have: Multiple facility Labor and Delivery experience preferred Description: The Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse will provide care to patients during labor and delivery. This role involves working in a high-volume labor and delivery unit with an average of 200-300 births per month. Responsibilities include triaging obstetrical patients and assisting with high-risk deliveries. The nurse will be proficient in the use of intrauterine pressure catheters and maintaining central lines. Additionally, administering anticoagulation therapy, antihypertensives, insulin drips, and magnesium sulfate therapy is required. The position may involve circulating for cesarean sections and performing sterile vaginal exams. Adherence to isolation precautions and the use of personal protective equipment is essential.
