Summary/Objective: The responsibilities include maintenance and repair of all facility structures including but not limited to: drywall repair, plumbing repair, electric repair, flooring maintenance, racking. Other responsibilities include external facility property repairs and maintenance including but not limited to: repair and maintenance of fences, exterior lighting, grounds and tire-shredders. Essential Functions: -
Lifting heavy motors and industrial-sized tools and other equipment is commonplace. -
Monitor and respond to Fire Alarm and Fire Suppression Systems, and HVAC Computer System. -
Provide regular greasing of mobile equipment at a schedule determined by the Fleet Mechanic. -
Provide accurate record keeping of repairs (initiate re-stock of equipment with Supervisor's permission). -
Recycling operations, including daily pick-up of trash and recyclable materials from all offices and exterior trash cans and responsibility for assuring regular baling operations as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor. -
Assist Maintenance Supervisor and senior mechanics with General Facility Maintenance. -
Handle Inclement Weather Issues, including snow plowing, shoveling and salting. -
Pick up parts at local parts supply houses. -
Metal work, including welding (if capable), dock plate and storage rack repair. -
General labor as may be required. -
Other duties assigned as needed. Skills and Qualifications: -
CDL-A preferred -
High School Diploma, GED or Certifications required. -
5 years' experience in related field. -
Heating/Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration experience preferred -
Electrical experience preferred -
Plumbing experience preferred -
Mechanical aptitude and physical fitness (required to lift heavy motors and industrial-sized tools and other equipment). -
Ability to read instructions and wire diagrams. -
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and ability to read instructions. -
Dependability is critical: required to open or close the facility when needed and work off-hours and occasional Saturdays. -
Ability to work alone (many of the tasks are solo tasks). -
