Summary/Objective:

The responsibilities include maintenance and repair of all facility structures including but not limited to: drywall repair, plumbing repair, electric repair, flooring maintenance, racking. Other responsibilities include external facility property repairs and maintenance including but not limited to: repair and maintenance of fences, exterior lighting, grounds and tire-shredders.

Essential Functions:

• 
  Lifting heavy motors and industrial-sized tools and other equipment is commonplace.

    Monitor and respond to Fire Alarm and Fire Suppression Systems, and HVAC Computer System.
    
    
    
    
    
    
    • 
      Provide regular greasing of mobile equipment at a schedule determined by the Fleet Mechanic.
      
      
      
      
      
      
      • 
        Provide accurate record keeping of repairs (initiate re-stock of equipment with Supervisor's permission).
        
        
        
        
        
        
        • 
          Recycling operations, including daily pick-up of trash and recyclable materials from all offices and exterior trash cans and responsibility for assuring regular baling operations as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor.
          
          
          
          
          
          
          • 
            Assist Maintenance Supervisor and senior mechanics with General Facility Maintenance.
            
            
            
            
            
            
            • 
              Handle Inclement Weather Issues, including snow plowing, shoveling and salting.
              
              
              
              
              
              
              • 
                Pick up parts at local parts supply houses.
                
                
                
                
                
                
                • 
                  Metal work, including welding (if capable), dock plate and storage rack repair.
                  
                  
                  
                  
                  
                  
                  • 
                    General labor as may be required.
                    
                    
                    
                    
                    
                    
                    • 
                      Other duties assigned as needed.
                      
                      
                      
                      Skills and Qualifications:
                      
                      
                      
                      
                      • 
                        CDL-A preferred
                        
                        
                        
                        
                        
                        
                        • 
                          High School Diploma, GED or Certifications required.
                          
                          
                          
                          
                          
                          
                          • 
                            5 years' experience in related field.
                            
                            
                          • 
                            Heating/Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration experience preferred
                            
                            
                          • 
                            Electrical experience preferred
                            
                            
                          • 
                            Plumbing experience preferred
                            
                            
                            
                            
                            
                            
                            • 
                              Mechanical aptitude and physical fitness (required to lift heavy motors and industrial-sized tools and other equipment).
                              
                              
                              
                              
                              
                              
                              • 
                                Ability to read instructions and wire diagrams.
                                
                                
                                
                                
                                
                                
                                • 
                                  Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and ability to read instructions.
