• Employment Type: TravelJob Description: Registered Nurse - Emergency Room (ER)Location: -Mullica Hill, NJGuaranteed Hours: -24 hours per weekTime Type: -Days (12-hour shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM)Unit Description:Join our dynamic 64-bed Emergency Department, which includes hallway utilization and 75 bays for holds and pediatrics. Our team is dedicated to providing exceptional care for critically ill patients, behavioral health patients, and those requiring observation or acute inpatient admissions. We handle an average of 150-190 visits daily, with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 4:1 to 5:1. Our charting system is Cerner, and our staff wears navy blue scrubs.Position Overview:As a Registered Nurse in our Emergency Department, you will perform patient assessments, prioritize care, provide immediate interventions, analyze assessment data, and collaborate with medical staff to formulate and implement effective care plans. You will be expected to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment, ensuring the highest standards of patient care.Schedule:
  • Part-Time: -Every Saturday and Sunday
  • Shift: -12-hour day shifts (6:45 AM - 7:15 PM)
  • Holiday Requirement: -Every other holiday
  • Request Time Off (RTO): -No more than 3 daysExperience and Requirements:
    • Contract Length: -13 weeks
    • Experience: -Minimum of 2 years of recent ER experience as an RN (within the last 6 months); preferred 3 years
    • Licensure: -Valid NJ RN license or compact license
    • Certifications: -BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC (AHA only)
    • Floating Requirements: -Must be willing to float within the specialty or ED Observation UnitPhysical Requirements:
      • Lifting: -Frequently lift

      • Sitting: -Occasionally
      • Climbing, Kneeling, Crouching: -Occasionally

        • Client may cancel (call-off) up to one (1) shift per two week period without paying for the cancelled hours.First day instructions(FDI):
          • FDI are emailed directly by the hospital. - Please expect 3 emails on the Friday before Monday start date. Please be sure to look in the junk folder as well - emails are sent usually around 2:00 pm on Friday.
          • Monday is a virtual day - Teams call starts around 8:30 - 9 am. - -Invite/link sent via email. After the Teams meeting, continue the day with 'at your pace' modules sent by the facility.
          • Badge appointment is emailed by the facility to issue the badge and review policy/procedures. The ID badge is very important to obtain prior to Orientation Shift. This is how you will clock in and out - so you can be paid accurately.
          • Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday - orientation classes are scheduled ONSITE 1-4 hours long in early afternoon and details are sent after Monday meeting is completed. These are MUST attend and cannot be rescheduled or missed- you will take the end of class assignment which is required to schedule the orientation shift. -
          • -Orientation shift - Fri/Sat/Sun shift which will be at the time of the shift hired for and schedule will be made available after Tue/Wed/Thur orientation classes have been completed.
          • The POCT class is scheduled for the 2nd or 3rd week of the assignment. Please share your POCT class date with us once received and remember to attend.
          • You must be available for the full 7 days of the first week for Orientation. No special scheduling is permitted for orientation.
