As part of our team, you will:* Obtain necessary medical, surgical, and radiological supplies for specific procedures according to established protocols.* Maintain sterility of field and instruments.* Correctly prepare requisitions.* Communicate with patients and families before, during, and after procedures to alleviate anxiety while maintaining privacy and dignity.* Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and respect patient privacy.* Verify patient identification according to AHS policy.* Observe patient condition before and after contrast injections, reporting any sudden changes to nursing staff and Radiologist.* Ensure availability of medical records, previous reports, labs, and patient history.* Initiate emergency response in case of complications.* Maintain adequate linen supplies in each scanning room.* Maintain adequate contrast media and biopsy/drainage supplies in each scanning room.* Adhere to room assignments (CT 1, 2, and 3).* Assist in maintaining CT storeroom and outside inventory.* Participate in daily inventory and stocking of supplies.* Notify Lead of expired or soon-to-expire equipment or medications.* Clean and inventory supplies.* Participate in the routine cleaning of the CT gantry, table, and peripheral equipment after each use.* When assigned as Point, triage procedures according to the daily schedule and ensure timely coordination of all emergency and unscheduled procedure requests.* Assign staff to ensure efficient workflow while maintaining an environment of patient safety.* Maintain workflow within the section to coordinate emergent and unscheduled procedure requests within the schedule.* Communicate with all departments and floors regarding patient status.* Ensure immediate patient transport post-procedure.* Assist in performing routine procedures.* Assess patient ability to tolerate contrast.* Screen for allergies/medication incompatibilities.* Clean CT Unit and room after each use.* Maintain orderliness and cleanliness of the working area.* Notify Coordinator or Lead of equipment malfunctions.* Maintain QA/QC requirements for daily, monthly & ACR specifications.* Recognize unusual conditions in the operation of equipment and alert appropriate personnel of equipment malfunctions.* Adhere to venipuncture and power injector protocols.* For cases requiring immediate results such as Code Grey, Trauma, and Partial Trauma, acquire, process, send, and verify/complete images in PACS/RIS system per established protocol (immediately after acquisition for Code Grey).* Notify the radiologist as Code Grey images are being sent and follow with any processed data after.* Notify the radiologist of any unusual findings to provide the optimum care for the patient.Education* Required Education: HS diploma/GED and completion of a Radiographer Technical training program from a School of Radiography or College-based Radiography program.Certifications & Licensure* Required: ARRT RT (R), ARRT RT (CT), NJDEP New Jersey State X-Ray License, BLS Certification.Job Type: ContractPay: $70.00 - $75.00 per hourSchedule:* Evening shiftExperience:* Sterile Processing Tech: 3 years (Preferred)License/Certification:* CRCST (Preferred)* BLS Certification (Preferred)Work Location: In personby Jobble More...
