• Employment Type: Local ContractWCS Healthcare is currently seeking a skilled Labor and Delivery Nurse for a contract assignment at a renowned hospital in Pompton Plains, NJ.Job Function: -
  
  • Night Shift.
    
  • 7pm - 7am.
    
  • Applies and interprets external fetal monitoring, assessing fetal heart tracings and uterine activity.
    
    
  • Implements appropriate interventions based on fetal heart rate patterns and maternal status during labor.
    
    
  • Identifies and responds to emergency situations, notifying the provider as needed.
    
    
  • Administers medications in accordance with the five rights of medication safety and infection control protocols.
    
    
  • Assists physicians or midwives during labor and delivery procedures.

      • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
        
        
      • Current, active RN license in the state of New Jersey.
        
        
      • 2 years of acute care experience in Labor and Delivery or related specialty.
        
        
      • BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications from the American Heart Association are required.
        
        
      • Fetal Monitoring Certificate preferred.
