Through engaging instruction, real-world experiences, and community involvement, we support individuals in reaching their full potential. Position Overview: Spectrum360 is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Assistant Director for our Independence360 program in Whippany, NJ. The Assistant Director plays a key leadership role in overseeing staff and clients, managing daily operations, and ensuring that programming runs smoothly, safely, and in alignment with our mission. You'll work closely with the Director and other team members to create a supportive, growth-oriented environment for clients and staff alike. Key Responsibilities: - Supervise day-to-day program operations and support the Director with overall management.
- Develop and implement individualized plans across life skills, social skills, personal development, and vocational areas.
- Provide staff supervision, including training, coaching, and assistance with performance evaluations.
- Manage scheduling, client records, technology needs, and office operations.
- Maintain timely, professional communication with families, providers, and community partners.
- Coordinate and participate in extracurricular events such as Friday night socials, weekend trips, and other community activities (with additional pay where applicable).
- Assist with Medicaid documentation oversight and ensure compliance with DDD standards.
- Represent Independence360 in community outreach and marketing efforts.
- Provide crisis management and support as needed, including remaining with clients during emergencies until relieved.
- Track program-related expenses and maintain accurate financial documentation.
- Participate in monthly supervision and staff meetings, and collaborate on ongoing program development.
