Job Description Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) Systems provides actionable intelligence for our warfighters and decision makers through innovative technical solutions from the seas to the stars. Electronic Combat Solutions (ECS) provides mission critical, full spectrum Electronic Warfare capabilities with agile, leveraged solutions from the sea to the stars with products installed on 80% of U.S. military aircraft ranging from F-35, F-22, F-15, and LRASM, to other classified platforms. The New Jersey Business Center, with its 800 personnel, is a dynamic campus comprised of C4ISR and ECS business area equities and all BAE Systems functions. Our talented team delivers on franchise programs and capabilities critical to our business success with a diverse product portfolio ranging from CNI systems, precision guided missile sensors, radar receivers and advanced technologies. The New Jersey Business Center Lead is responsible for ensuring our mix of matrixed and decentralized organizations across the New Jersey sites are positioned to deliver on business growth, process improvement, and accretive financial results in an inclusive and welcoming workplace culture.Responsibilities for this role include: - Working with our employees and Human Resources to maintain productive team operating norms and behaviors on site that align with our company values and behaviors.
- Leading development of the New Jersey Business Center strategic growth roadmap identifying growth strategies, investment requirements, operational improvements, and staffing plans.
- Leading development of the annual New Jersey Business Center financial planning and quarterly business updates.
- Enabling the supported programs and portfolios to consistently deliver predictable performance results that meet or beat current year operating plan. Serve as a program management subject matter expert, providing surge capability to programs requiring assistance.
- Setting strategic direction of the business center to drive continuous improvement to industry best practices.
- Leading proactive and connected communications to assure all voices are heard.
- Driving business strategy and operations across multiple business center pillars while collaborating with product area directors and functional leaders for business success.
- Championing continuous improvement across the sites, support the engagement of multiple Employee Resource Groups. Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- A Bachelor's degree in a technical or business-related discipline and at least 15+ years' experience working in a leadership role developing and delivering technology solutions in DOD and/or Commercial environments.
- Experience leading technical and program teams through all phases of the lifecycle on large, complex programs with responsibility for all aspects of program objectives as well as business performance, including experience leading P&L and growth for a portfolio of programs.
- Experience building and leading large, high-performing teams, including leadership of leaders; strong coaching and mentoring skills with the ability to achieve results through others and a focus on inclusive leadership.
- Experience successfully navigating sensitive and challenging employee engagements and situations.
- Strong business acumen in managing financial performance and proven success identifying growth areas and developing new business strategic plans aligned with the company's growth objectives. Experience leading large and complex, competitive captures is a positive.
- Demonstrated experience establishing and building customer relationships as well as the ability to collaborate within and across organizational boundaries.
- Must be a skilled communicator with the ability to influence at executive levels internally and externally and shape the image of a complex organization. Ability to negotiate at a high level with internal and external customers and partners.
- Possesses exemplary risk and opportunity management skills as well as thorough knowledge of program management best practices, government contracting, current acquisition trends and customer and competitor behaviors.
- Must possess and maintain a U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance with the ability to obtain Top Secret / SCI.Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
