Whether a routine maintenance call or troubleshooting a problem and finding solutions, our Field Service Engineers play a leading role in supporting the onsite technical needs of Bio-Rad customers. In this highly autonomous role, you will spend the majority of your time at customer sites, with travel up to 5 days a week in your assigned territory as part of a national service team. No day or week will look the same, and your work will have a direct impact on Bio-Rad's success! The person taking the Field Service Engineer role will spend the majority of their time in four key areas: - Traveling between hospitals/labs based on assignment of service requests.
- Troubleshooting and resolving customer and product issues.
- Building positive relationships with Bio-Rad customers.
- Documenting service results in order to maintain accurate quality records.
The environment and culture for this role is fast-paced and you'll be constantly "on the go". It requires the ability to solve complex problems while maintaining strong relationships with our customers. How You will Make an Impact: - Performing repairs, upgrades, and preventative maintenance on Bio-Rad's instruments, ensuring the quality performance of our instruments for customers who are working to advance the future of healthcare.
- Supporting and maintaining the Bio-Rad instruments on which our customers rely on to make scientic breakthroughs helping to advance healthcare research and treatments.
- Building and sustaining strong relationships allows you to anticipate and advocate for our customers needs.
- By adhering to FDA and GMP regulations and requirements with detailed record keeping and service documentation helps protect Bio-Rad's integrity and reputation in the industry.
What You Bring: While the list of qualifications may help an employee to succeed in this position, capable candidates may have a wide range of backgrounds and skills. If you have experience that aligns with the responsibilities of this role, we encourage you to apply! - At least 3 years of transferable field service experience servicing electro-mechnical/electronic/optical/robotics equipment and an A.S. or B.S. in Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering (or a related field or military equivalent experience).
- Ability to read, understand and successfully follow medium to highly complex work instructions.
- Strong electro-mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Strong computer skills and fundamental knowledge of computer networking.
- Strong customer relation and communication skills, both written and oral.
- Flexibility and enthusiasm for daily travel.
