Your contributions will drive organizational change through risk identification, measurement, analysis and reporting in order to better manage the company's Tech and Cyber risks in an open and collaborative environment. You'll define mitigation strategies, prioritizes and escalates recommendations. You'll participate in the design and implementation of cyber control programs to deliver value-added risk management services to our business partners. You will have a high level of exposure across lines of business and have the opportunity to work with SMEs to implement innovative solutions to identify and mitigate potential risks to the Company. Proficiency in Cyber and Technology risk management program development and management are key to success in this role. The successful candidate will be an experienced risk management professional who understands technology functions and organizations, with strong analytical, planning, strategic thinking, organizational and communication skills. This role will primarily provide first line risk advisory and challenge for our Card technical team, with significant interaction with other areas within all three lines of defense.What you'll do: - Serve as a Technology Risk Guide for Divisional CIO Leadership Team and respective software engineering teams to propel technology risk agenda and help DCIO LT make informed decisions in supporting their business partners.
- Demonstrate an understanding of technology systems at an aggregate level, including networks, applications, cloud computing, and data.
- Maintain a broad understanding of relevant operating systems and their respective vulnerabilities in order to quickly identify the severity of potential issues [doesn't just know how the tools and reports work, but also how to recognize risk].
- Demonstrate a broad understanding of major categories of cyber threats, how those threats can occur in our environment, and the measures required to safeguard the enterprise.
- Build successful relationships with Card Tech, business risk offices and team members to understand the impact of technology risk on critical business processes
- Perform risk reviews during various processes such as Risk Control and Self Assessments (RCSAs), Process Level Assessments - (PLA), Exceptions, Applications, Targeted Risk Assessments and recommend on risk mitigation activities.
- Quickly and accurately analyzes data, assesses risk, & prioritizes published vulnerabilities and potential risks to differentiate critical, high-risk, and low-risk issues, and escalate as appropriate.
- Researches, assembles, and/or evaluates information regarding industry practices or applicable regulatory changes affecting cyber security policies or programs; recommends sound, practical solutions to complex issues.
- Makes recommendations regarding changes to policy, procedures, and control programs to mitigate evolving risks.
- Effectively self-challenges cyber control programs as part of first line duties and escalates risks where appropriate.
- Demonstrates sound lifecycle program management to include documenting and communicating action plans, impediments and risks, and stakeholder engagement.
- Influence leaders within Card, Business Risk Offices, Compliance, Cyber Security, second line risk organizations, and Internal Audit on key technology risks and actions needed.
- Develop risk analysis, perform deep dive investigations, and drive specific risk initiatives to minimize risk posture and strengthen overall control effectiveness and to reduce residual risks
- Keeps pace with evolving cyber threat landscape to ensure ongoing relevance of cyber risk mitigation.
- Support the Enterprise Services (ES) Risk organization by implementing new and innovative ideas---Basic Qualifications:
- At least 8 years of experience with technology or cyber security risk management frameworks
- At least 5 years of experience developing, evaluating, or implementing cybersecurity, technology, or risk assessment activities
- At least 2 years of cloud risk, governance, control, and security experience
- CISA, CISM, CRISC, CISSP, CCAK
- At least 2 years of experience with briefing executive leadership on risks, controls, metrics and roadmaps for digital products---Preferred Qualifications:
