NJ/NY Gotham FC ("Gotham FC" or "the Club") is a National Women's Soccer League ("NWSL") team representing New Jersey and New York. The team plays at Red Bull Arena in Harrison, NJ. The Role: Gotham FC is seeking a Social Media Coordinator who will be responsible for helping position the Club as the most engaging and innovative soccer brand in social media. This role will manage the flow of content ideation, publication, and tracking of social content across all Club social channels. Loving sports is a plus, but loving the combination of social media, community, sports, and pop culture is even better. This role is responsible for both supporting the appropriate stakeholders in achieving their objectives, as well as helping achieve Gotham FC social media objectives. Key Responsibilities: - Oversee and participate in the creation and publishing of social content on all platforms, including X/Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and other emerging platforms on weekdays, evenings and weekends (game, big event, and desk coverage required).
- Collaborate across the Club on strategies that leverage players, partners, influencers, and/or celebrities to achieve club-wide objectives.
- Develop and maintain content plans and activations in the social content calendar (Asana).
- Participate in the ideation and brainstorming of creative and promotional content
- Help support social with best practices documents, account analysis and metrics, player verification, etc.
- Analyze week-to-week analytics and be able to quickly adapt to best optimize content changes based on metrics
- Test new creative trends and solutions across platforms to improve creative content diversification (promotion vs. player personality content vs. match day content).
- Produce branded social content with partner brands and influencers promoting tune-in/matchdays. Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role
- Takes initiative and has a creative spirit
- Prior corporate experience utilizing social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat
- Proficiency in Google Suite and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Adobe Premiere, Illustrator and/or other video and photo editing platforms)
- Passionate about providing fans with a great digital/social experience by listening, interacting and producing innovative content
- Knowledge of NWSL/Gotham FC and the U.S. Women's National Team
- Highly organized with an eye for details
- Ability to effectively manage projects and applicable deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to work in a professional environment
- Experience in reviewing, analyzing, and communicating social media data analytics, and creating goals as necessary
- Commitment to quality work/content
- Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, team environment
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse group of individuals across several departments
- Demonstrated decision making and problem-solving skills
