The Research and Development Engineer plays a pivotal role in supporting the creation and enhancement of our products through design, testing, and collaboration with the R&D team. Your responsibilities include aiding in the development of innovative design concepts, evaluating current designs, and supervising the execution of product development initiatives.Client DetailsThe company specializes in the production and development of lightweight and high-performance composite materials. In the last two years, they have more than doubled annual sales and are on track to continue their exponential growth.DescriptionThe R&D Engineer will be responsible for: - Conduct research and development activities for new and existing products and apply research theories, principles, and models when performing experiments and related activities.
- Summarize research results and communicate findings. Assess the scope of research projects and ensure projects are on time and within budget
- Work with management team in planning, costing, and implementing production and project budget
- Collaborate with the engineering, sales, and marketing departments on product feasibility * Redesigning existing products to enhance functionality or reduce costs
- Resolve product issues
- Collaborate with production engineer on the production process
- Create and optimize Job Travelers on M1 system or Excel
- Assist with process improvement and the improvement of in process Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
