At Valley Regional Hospital, patients are the center of our coordinated care system and right now we have an opening for a Pharmacy Tech to join our team.


The primary responsibility of the Pharmacy Tech is:

• Prepares intravenous solutions and admixtures; must be able to identify variations in medication dosage forms, volume and dosing
  
• Maintains inventory and billing related to medications and related supplies
  
• Stocks automated dispensing machines and delivers medications throughout VRH and its satellite locations
  
• Aids in training new employees
  
• Participates in departmental and organizational performance improvement and CQI activities
  
• Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors
  
• Complies with rules, regulations and procedures to help maintain a clean and safe pharmacy, such as by sterilizing equipment and surfaces
  
  
  
  Ideal Candidate would have the following qualifications:
  
  
  
  
  • High School diploma or the equivalent
    
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification preferred
    
  • One (1) year related pharmacy experience preferred
    
  • High integrity, able to follow procedures
    
  • Ability to be a self-motivated learner
