We seek an experienced Senior EHS Professional to support the construction of a new high-speed rail service from Las Vegas, NV, to Vacaville, CA. You will collaborate with all levels of the organization on this long-term project, providing routine updates to the project management team. This role will report to the Senior EHS Manager. Your primary goal is to advocate for a zero-harm safety culture and develop the project behavioral safety ethos that protects Siemens employees, consortium partners, subcontractors, and customers. It is also essential that you regularly conduct site safety assessments/audits, including tracking and reporting corrective action status in the field, and be a visible presence advocating for the safety of Siemens and its consortium partners in field-based engineering, project managers, site managers, commissioning, operations, and maintenance personnel. What your day-to-day will look like: - Develop a site-specific EHS Strategy for the project and a plan for its implementation.
- Develop specific job safety analyses (JSA) for higher-risk work.
- Regularly conduct training for employees and maintain employee safety training database.
- Maintain EHS regulatory compliance activities, including preparing and submitting EHS regulatory reports and working with regulatory agency personnel.
- Give technical guidance to employees regarding environmental, health, and safety-related issues or concerns and regulatory compliance.
- Conducting and leading EHS incident investigations, including tracking and record-keeping requirements, ensuring a thorough investigation of serious incidents, production of remedial actions, and lessons learned.
- Performs Sub-Contractor EHS Assessments and conducts onsite Project EHS Assessments.
