We invite you to join our dynamic Las Vegas, NV team as a Lead Project Procurement Manager (PPM) for high-speed rail projects and play a pivotal role in shaping America's infrastructure. This opportunity is at the forefront of infrastructure innovation and sustainable transportation. This vital role involves steering innovative procurement solutions in compliance with industry standards and federal regulations, navigating supply capacity constraints, and implementing localization efforts with inputs from supply markets.

You are a purposeful, execution-focused enthusiast who is a strategic and analytical thinker adept at handling capacity constraints, procurement challenges, and supplier development. This role is crucial in pioneering our Buy America Supplier development plan and developing a team of project procurement managers - create a better tomorrow with us!

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Strategically lead procurement projects for high-speed rail infrastructure to ensure alignment with project objectives and achieve customer deadlines and profit goals. Execute and monitor purchases and total cost of ownership of all goods, services, and equipment, covering both direct and indirect supplies.
  • Lead sourcing and contracting activities, including supplier business award planning, local supply base development, and delivery of project requirements within budget, schedule, and quality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide procurement market intelligence and refine technical solutions during project and sales discussions. Also, align on requirements, priorities, schedules, and validation of technical solutions.
  • Evaluate and integrate customer requirements during the bidding and project execution process, incorporating innovative solutions from suppliers.
  • Lead the project procurement team to collaborate with procurement experts and cross-functional partners, establish supplier relationships, set achievements, and achieve supply chain excellence.
  • Champion local supplier development that meets quality, sustainability, and innovation specifications and lead supply chain localization plans.
  • Manage all supplier contracts throughout bid and project execution striving to optimize impact on budget, availability, and quality
  • Identify and handle supply chain risks and opportunities, focusing on supplier financial health, capacity, and strategic planning.
  • Exhibit leadership skills that promote a positive work environment and effective team communication.
  • Give detailed management briefings on procurement progress, business award decisions, and strategies for maintaining delivery and quality standards.

    To thrive in this role, you have:

    • 8+ years experience as a Procurement professional with validated multi-year experience in leading procurement for large-scale infrastructure projects, preferably with expertise in handling installation contractors and power distribution systems.
    • Master's degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
    • Strong ability to develop innovative procurement strategies, especially in the context of Buy America regulations with project and offshore teams. Existing relationships and experience with respective unions are a plus.
    • Exceptional collaboration, negotiation, and communication skills; capable of leading a team and engaging with cross-functional US and European partners.

      This career is based in Las Vegas, NV. We offer a variety of health and wellness benefits to employees, including PTO, 401k match, and tuition reimbursement. The base salary range for this position in Las Vegas, NV, is $128,700 - $174,200, and the annual incentive target is 15% of the base salary. The salary may be higher or lower depending on the budget and the candidate's experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications.
