  Job Summary and Qualifications
  
  
  • You will assume 24-hour responsibility in directing and coordinating safe, efficient, and therapeutically effective nursing care for patients on the assigned unit/ department
  • Your principle responsibilities will include strategic planning, service delivery, program development, evaluation and implementation, budget and resource management, cost control, contract compliance and quality improvement
  • You will demonstrate proficiency in critical care nursing procedures and skills, including cardiac rhythm interpretation
    What qualifications you will need:
    
    
    • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN, must be actively seeking within six months of hire. MSN preferred
    • Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Nevada
    • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a leadership role in an acute care hospital preferred
    • BLS required
    • Demonstrated proficiency in general nursing procedures and skills required to care for medical/surgical patients

Our facility also offers a behavioral health unit serving teens and adults, an accredited Chest Pain Center, a Certified Primary Stroke Center and a dedicated orthopedic and spine unit. In addition, Southern Hills Hospital and Medical Center provides women with top level care with our OB-GYN, Level II NICU, diagnostic imaging and surgical services.
