Senior Project Manager (3477)at SMX(View all jobs) (https://www.smxtech.com/careers/) United States SMX is seeking a Senior Project Manager to be responsible for supporting multiple projects. A successful candidate must be comfortable interacting directly with technical resources and customers at both the technical and executive level. The individual will be capable of working independently in the role when needed and able to act with a sense of urgency. A strong focus on quality, communication, customer success, and results, the individual will be working alongside some of the best Cloud technologists in the market, jointly driving to successful project execution. This is a remote position supporting a Washington, DC based program. Essential Duties and Responsibilities -
Oversees all aspects of multiple complex Cloud projects including finance, scheduling, technology, methodology, tools, and reporting. -
Prepares long and short-range plans for complex Cloud services projects and for necessary support resources. -
Serves as the primary interface and point of contact with customer. -
Manage all project activities to include scope, cost, and schedule in accordance with contract and runs all project meetings while capturing meeting minutes and actions items. Distributes action items as required and manages to completion. -
Tracks and mitigates project related risks and issues. -
Manages projects to ensure profitability and resource utilization attainment. -
Works with Invoicing Team to ensure accurate invoicing for professional services, managed services, Cloud resources and other direct costs (ODCs) -
Manages resource plan and identify resource risks or blockers. -
Provide personnel with timely, constructive, and actionable feedback that increases individual and team effectiveness. -
Communicates project status to clients, management, and partners as appropriate. -
Cultivates effective working relationships with client, Smartronix, and partner teams to maximize productivity and customer service delivery. -
Anticipates problems or situations that could affect project success. Assesses potential impact, develops, and executes the best solution to mitigate. Escalates to leadership as appropriate. -
Ensure status report delivery, development of project-related documentation, and implementation of lessons learned. -
Participate in project performance review meetings and discussions. Required Experience: -
Bachelor's degree plus 7-10 years of relevant experience working with public Cloud technologies and/or managing cloud projects, and of which at least 2 years are managing federal contracts. -
Managerial experience leading employees supporting IT Projects while motivating diverse teams to provide excellent customer support. -
Demonstrated project financial management experience. -
The ability to assist customers in creating requirements and/or understand the requirements provided. -
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and capable of working effectively under pressure to immovable deadlines. -
Excellent written and communication skills to communicate with client team members clearly and confidently. -
Well organized with the ability to react quickly to a changing landscape. -
Strong organizational skills -
Excellent Microsoft Office skills -
Experience with Agile Scrum development procedures and best practices. Desired Skills and Experiences |
