Creighton University is seeking to hire an Assistant Director for Creighton's Center for Advising Resources and Support (CARS).

CARS is a collaborative hub for advising, and this role will contribute to this mission through: pre-professional advising, campus collaboration in advising and retention, supporting users of Creighton's student advising software, and coordinating the Creighton Pre-Professional Scholars Program.

Key Responsibilities

Advise current and prospective students and alumni regarding pre-professional exploration, academic and experiential planning, and preparation for application to professional school
Coordinate with faculty advisor partners
Assist with development and implementation of courses and communities, to include curriculum, course delivery management, and creation of interactive modules
Create programming, advise and track students in the Creighton Pre-Professional Scholars Program
Coordinate Creighton University committee letter process
Support office efforts in student recruitment and retention
Support center efforts in training and development of Salesforce-based advising software


Qualifications



Master's Degree required or near complete Masters degree
3 years' experience in higher education post-Master's preferred
Experience in academic advising preferred
Excellent communication skills in writing, speaking and presenting
Attention to detail
Collaborate across campus departments with all levels of faculty and staff
Proficient in MS Office Suite to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Outlook
