Tele Tech - Telemetry Tech - Frenchtown Montana

This is a TPD (0.2), day shift (0700 - 1900) Telemetry Tech position in the Tele Tech Department. Telemetry Technician monitors and facilitates activities at the unit nursing station and performs tasks necessary to maintain proper flow of patient care and related documentation. Monitors cardiac rhythms and vital signs of patients located in ICU as well as other areas of the hospital and communicates changes promptly and accurately to nursing staff. The Telemetry Tech also acts as a receptionist and must be able to remain professional with a positive attitude under stressful conditions with multiple demands. Performs routine administrative and clerical duties at and around the unit nursing station providing prompt and courteous service to patients, families, physicians, staff and public alike. Minimum Required: Must have experience in administrative support and or receptionist duties. Demonstrated ability to multitask in a stressful environment. High school graduate or equivalent required. Must have basic computer proficiency, ability to use a multi-line phone system. - Must be proficient in English, verbal and written communication skills. Preferred/Desired: Preferred medical clerical experience and medical terminology. Prefer previous experience in monitoring and interpreting cardiac rhythms. Technical training in medical transcription or medical office assistant preferred. Also prefer proficiency in Microsoft office applications, health care patient records/scheduling/billing/order systems, and/or an electronic health record system. Weekend Requirements: Weekends as scheduled.
