Clinical Details

Scope:

Medically directed anesthesia care

Responsibilities include:

Supporting anesthesia team under physician supervision

Providing backup call support when needed

Managing anesthesia across multiple surgical services

Case Mix:

General, ortho, neuro, thoracic, pediatric, regional cases

OB coverage minimal; CRNAs used as backup only

Procedures:

Spinal, epidural, regional anesthesia

Line placement and hemodynamic management

Support:

Physician-led anesthesia team (CRNAs do not work independently)
