Provide expert nursing care as an RN on the 8 West Oncology unit in a reputable hospital setting known for advanced cardiovascular and trauma services. This 13-week night shift assignment offers flexible weekly hours (36 or 48), with schedules designed around patient care needs. Key Responsibilities: - Deliver direct patient care to oncology and related med-surg patients, including neuro overflow and end-of-life cases - Perform comprehensive assessments, medication administration, physical assessments, and EMR documentation using EPIC - Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate and optimize patient care - Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold hospital mission, values, and service standards - Adapt to changing schedules and unit float requirements within the med-surg service line Qualifications: - Current RN license eligible for Missouri or licensed in Missouri - Minimum 1 year med-surg inpatient nursing experience - BLS certification from the American Heart Association required - Preferably skilled in oncology nursing with Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) chemotherapy certification - Ability to work effectively on night shifts, including orientation availability on day shift Location Insight:Situated near Ballwin, MO, this hospital serves South St. Louis County and surrounding Missouri and Illinois counties.
