Mercy Virtual is seeking a Weekend Option Pediatric RN to join our vAcute Phone/Web triage team—an opportunity to support patients and families from the comfort of your home while shaping the future of virtual care. Position Details: ⚕️ What You’ll Do As a vAcute RN you will: - Deliver patient-centered nursing care using the Mercy Nursing Conceptual Framework and nursing process. - Triage pediatric patients using Mercy Virtual software—prioritizing needs and coordinating timely care. - Communicate effectively with patients and families via phone and video, ensuring understanding, comfort, and trust. - Work collaboratively with the virtual care team to coordinate care and ensure seamless workflows. - Document accurately and thoroughly, following all patient rights and confidentiality standards. - Support family-centered care by incorporating patient and family preferences into care planning. - Participate in shared governance and the Mercy Virtual Quality Assurance Program. - Perform all duties within the RN scope of practice as outlined by the Medical Director of the vAcute program. Pediatrics Specialty Requirements Required experience: - Previous experience in PICU, Pediatric Stepdown, Pediatric Urgent Care, Pediatric Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or similar pediatric settings. Preferred experience: - PICU - Pediatric Stepdown - Pediatric/Pediatric Urgent Care - Pediatric Emergency Medicine Qualifications - Education: Graduation from a registered nursing program and BSN are required. - Experience: Minimum 5 years of diversified direct clinical nursing experience. - Licensure: RN license in the state of Missouri (or eligibility) ability to obtain additional state licensure as needed. - Certifications: BLS within 6 months of hire. - Skills: - Strong clinical judgment and analytical skills - Excellent communication skills for phone/video interactions - Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work autonomously Who Thrives Here?
