  • Prepares all soups, stocks, and sauces; boils, braises, and roasts items according to standardized recipes.
  • Prepares and serves all saut--ed, fried, grilled, steamed, and baked items following standardized recipes.
  • Prepares or directs the preparation of all food served, adhering to standard recipes and special diet orders.
  • Plans food production to align with meal serving hours to maintain food quality, temperature, and appearance.
  • Determines the quantity and type of food and supplies needed for daily menus and ensures that supplies are obtained from storage in a timely manner for meal production.Requirements:
    • High school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent is preferred but not required.
    • Ability to read and write in English and to follow both written and oral instructions in English.
    • Perform basic arithmetic and understand measurements.
    • A minimum of three years of experience as a cook in a hotel, restaurant, club, or similar establishment.
    • Knowledge of basic cooking methods.
    • Ability to plan and organize work effectively.
    • Ability to interpret instructions, recipes, specifications, and standards accurately.
    • Knowledge of kitchen equipment operation and maintenance, as well as some understanding of nutrition and diet.
