Description:The Grants Manager is responsible for attaining financial support through the successful planning, implementation and reporting of grants, including generating grant proposals and supporting documents, maintaining and implementing a grant funding calendar, leading a cross departmental grants team, ensuring reporting is done in a timely manner, researching and identifying new grant prospects to support development operations in an office setting. EXAMPLES OF WORK DUTIES: (Any one position may not include all the following, nor do all the listed examples include all duties and responsibilities which may be required in each position.)1. Assist in identifying new funding sources and conduct prospect research.2. Write and submit grants in collaboration with the development, programs and administrative departments.3. Add all information into the project management portal.4. Follow up with grant-making organizations during their review of a submitted grant applications to supply additional supportive material as requested.5. Ensures grant activities take place and are tracked by program staff for grant reporting purposes.6. Maintain and implement funding calendar activities, including cultivation and reporting activities.7. Work with the finance department to prepare monthly, quarterly, and/or annual reports for funders as required.8. In collaboration with development and program staff, develop and implement monitoring procedures to track grant implementation.9. Manage multiple grant submissions and reports simultaneously while working with various staff to complete grant-related items.10. Exemplary ability to understand how the funding needs of the agency match with the mission of the grantor organization. 11. First-rate ability to understand and execute complex instructions.12. Participate in fundraising activities, staff, and department meetings.13. Always represent the agency in a positive manner.14. Maintain a positive relationship with the individuals supported. 15. Maintain confidentiality.16. Perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor or leadership team. Requirements:QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree or relevant grants management certificate and work experience. In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite: Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Excel. Knowledge of fundraising software including queries, exports, and reporting capabilities a must; particularly CRM products. Candidate must be an independent worker who is a self-starter with good communication, organization, problem-solving, patience, and time management skills. The ability to meet deadlines and to assist in the completion of tasks is vital. Well qualified candidates will have project management experience with proven results and a track record of researching and securing new grant opportunities, writing corporate, foundation and government grant proposals and success in securing grants from various ranges.
