Job Description: Essential Job Functions: - Serve as lead providing guidance and direction to other Behavioral Health Technicians working same shift.
- Oversee daily activities of clients/patients ensuring expectations and rules are adhered to communicating pertinent behaviors to treatment team.
- Assist in orientation of client/patient population with regards to client rights and rules.
- Adhere to all medication policies and work with trained Behavioral Health Technicians to ensure all medication policies are followed.
- De-escalate crisis situations with direction from Assistant Residential Coordinator, Residential Coordinator, Clinical Supervisor, and/or Director.
- Document client activities occurring on shifts that are relevant to client's/patients' progress or behavior.
- Screen and monitor detoxification clients to ensure that safety and recovery needs are being met if applicable.
- Provide client transportation as needed.
- Assist in training/orientating/Supervising Behavioral Technicians.
- Facilitate Behavioral Health Technician meetings as scheduled.
- Assist with Staff Schedules and provide coverage for vacant shifts.
- Prepare or assist in preparation of all group education material.
- Perform the duties of a Behavioral Health Technician.
- Assure documentation is completed following State Regulatory/CARF standards, including all group being entered for the shift, by the end of the shift.
- Complete all mandatory trainings that are within the required time frame within State Regulatory/CARF Standards, obtaining 36 hours of training every 2 years.
- Facilitate education or recreation groups as scheduled.
- Complete Annual Evaluations for direct reports within designated time frame.
- Demonstrates interest in long term and short term goals and objectives of the company.
- Other duties as assigned by Clinical Supervisor, Residential Coordinator, Program Director, Vice President, or Executive Team member. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of confidentiality laws governing substance use and mental health treatment; familiarity with HIPAA /42 CFR Part II.
- Ability to establish rapport with client population.
- Skilled in multitasking, prioritizing tasks in regards to impact on programmatic functioning.
- Demonstrate leadership ability
- Ability to participate and contribute to curricula development.
- Capable of communicating ideas clearly and effectively both verbally and written to produce clear and concise reports. Experience and Education Qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree in social work, counseling, psychology, psychiatric nursing, or a closely related field; OR
- High School or General Equivalency Diploma and two (2) years responsible employment history. Supervisory Requirements:
- Provide leadership and guidance in regards to Behavioral Health Technician responsibilities.
- Take an active role in monitoring and identifying program issues/concerns.
- Effectively communicate any changes within the department to ensure implementation and practice.
- Reinforces team approach throughout functions and report pertinent information to immediate supervisor. Employment Requirements:
- Successful completion of background check including criminal record, driving record and abuse/neglect.
- Completion of New Hire Orientation within 30 Days of employment.
- All training requirements including Relias Learning within two (2) weeks of employment and annually thereafter.
- First Aid certification within three (3) months of beginning employment and upon renewal date.
- Obtain CPR certification within three (3) months of beginning employment and upon renewal date.
- Behavioral Management training completed within thirty (30) days of employment or first available class after start date:
- CPI for Residential programs
- Crisis Management on Relias Learning for Outpatient programs
- Achievement of thirty-six (36) hour training requirements within 2 year period in accordance with 9 CSR 10-7.110 E 1.
- Growth and Development form (CPRC only) within thirty (30) days of employment.
- Privileging and Credentialing form (CPRC only) within thirty (30) days of employment.
- Extensive knowledge of the policies, procedures, and regulations of the program to which the associate is assigned.
- Valid Driver's license in state of residency with an acceptable driving record is required.
- Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age to operate a company-owned vehicle.
- Must be at least twenty-three (23) years of age to operate a company-owned fifteen (15) passenger van. For adolescent program only:
