Find your future with us.The Boeing Company is looking for several Mid-Level Real Time Software Engineers (Level 3) and Senior-Level Real Time Software Engineers (Level 4) for a Phantom Works Proprietary program located in Berkeley, MO. This position will focus on developing Vehicle Management System (VMS) software to support the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization. The Vehicle Management System provides flight and subsystem control for the platform.Position Responsibilities:

  • Develops, documents and maintains architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software system
  • Develops and maintains code and integrates software components into a fully functional software system
  • Develops and maintains software development plans, verification plans, test procedures and test environments, executes test procedures and documents test results to ensure software system requirements are met
  • Provides technical leadership for software projects
  • Supports generation and maintenance of software processes, tools and metrics
  • Serves as a subject matter expert for software domains, system-specific issues, processes and regulations
  • Tracks and evaluates software team to ensure product and process conformance to project plans and industry standards
  • Trains and mentors' others
  • Works under general directionThis position is expected to be 100% onsite. - The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.This position requires ability to obtain program access, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship only.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience for Mid-Level Level 3):
    • Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
    • 5+ years of experience with C/C++
    • 5+ years of experience designing and developing software for Real-Time or Non-Real-Time systems
    • Experience with the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
    • Experience Safety Critical Software Development ExperienceBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience for Senior Level 4):
      • Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
      • 7+ years of experience with C/C++
      • 4+ years of experience designing and developing software for Real-Time or Non-Real-Time systems
      • 3+ years of experience with the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
      • 1+ years of experience Safety Critical Software Development ExperiencePreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
        • Current Secret clearance
        • Real-time embedded software experience
        • Agile Software development
        • Familiarity with MIL-HDBK-516C, MIL-STD-882E, JSSSEH, DO-178C
        • Python, C# and/or Assembly Language experience
        • Experience with GreenHills Integrity or other Real Time Operating Systems
        • Experience with fault tolerance, signal processing or control system design
        • Experience with tools such as Jira, ClearCase and GitTypical Education/Experience Mid-Level Level 3: - Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.Typical Education/Experience Senior-Level Level 4: - Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.Relocation: This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
