No cost e Care visits Employer-provided mental health services for employees and eligible family members Retirement with employer match up to 5% Tuition discounts and reimbursement available for continuing your education Cox Health Fitness Center and Child Care discounts Job Summary The Pharmacy Technician provides highly specialized integrated clinical pharmacy services to the health plan.The Pharmacy Technician is responsible for the day-to-day Commercial and Medicare Part D tasks specific to pharmacy claim processing and claims rejection to ensure the appropriate administration of the pharmacy benefit.The Pharmacy Technician will work with the plan's pharmacy benefit manager (PBM) to support member, provider, and internal staff questions related to the prescription drug benefit.Responsible for independently researching potential claims processing errors and working with organizational team members to develop mitigating steps for error resolution.Note: The Medical Department requires its entire staff to carry out their duties in an accurate, timely, and professional manner.Job Requirements Education Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in a related field Experience Required: At least two years of experience in a pharmacy or related medical setting.Preferred: Knowledge of retail pharmacy operations and an understanding of insurance billing, third-party systems, point-of-sale, online pharmacy claims processing experience.Managed Care experience and knowledge Medicare Part D experience and knowledge Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, and Outlook Skills Strong organizational and planning skills Effective verbal and written communication skills Fluent in all typical office software programs (Word, Excel, and Power Point).Especially Excel.Ability to critically analyze and interpret medical and clinical literature as it relates to drug and disease therapies Knowledge of therapeutics and disease states Ability to learn and convey medical and formulary technical information at the client, member, or healthcare professional level Ability to work independently and within a team environment Ability to set goals and meet deadlines Ability to be a team member on multi-departmental committees Ability and willingness to gain a complete understanding of company-wide operations, systems, and procedures Licensure/Certification/Registration Required: MO Pharmacy Tech license or application completed upon hire and obtained within 90 days of hire Required: Nationally Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPh T) within one year of hire More...
