Find your future with us.Boeing Defense, Space, and Security (BDS) is seeking motivated and talented Lead Systems Engineers to join our Air Dominance team in the St. Louis, Missouri region. The Air Dominance team develops some of the most dynamic and technically engaging defense platforms and mission capabilities in the industry. The region is dynamic and growing as we support multiple new product development programs.As a member of the BDS program, you will apply an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions. You will evaluate customer and operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters, and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces.   • MQ-28 Ghost BatPosition Responsibilities:
    • Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to lead activities to plan, design, develop and verify complex lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions.
    • Leads others to evaluate customer/operational needs to define system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces.
    • Leads analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture.
    • Leads analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance and other specialties quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success.
    • Develops, maintains and identifies improvements the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes.This position is expected to be 100% onsite. - The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. (An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.)Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience): -
      • Technical Bachelor's, Master's or a PhD degree (A technical degree is defined as any four year degree, or greater, in a mathematic, scientific or information technology field of study.
      • 12+ years of relevant systems engineering experiencePreferred Qualifications/Desired Skills (Desired Skills/Experience):
        • Experience in applying engineering processes and principles
        • Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
        • Experience modeling or simulating systems
        • Experience/domain knowledge of system architecture, requirements, interface definition, verification, and validation -
        • Experience with product/systems development and integration
        • Experience with implementation and maintenance of systems engineering tools, schedules and metrics (i.e. DOORs, CAMEO, Earned value management).
        • Technical system domain knowledge (e.g. air vehicle)
        • Current Department of Defense Security ClearanceTypical Education/Experience Level 5: -Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.Level 6: -Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 20 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+15 years' related work experience, Master+18 years' related work experience).
