Date Posted: 2024-04-16 Country: United States of America Location: HMN01: S&IS (Sensors) - Burnsville 14300 Judicial Rd, Burnsville, MN, 55306 USA Position Role Type: Onsite This position is for a professional manufacturing engineer with experience in manufacturing processes and systems to deploy state of the art manufacturing technology into production. These systems will be used to improve processes and enable digital connectivity throughout operations. You will be a key contributor in scoping and planning projects, developing manufacturing technology in a lab environment, and proliferating technology deployments in support of our industry 4.0 transformation. The ideal candidate will have a background in manufacturing support and process development in a mechanical assembly factory. They will have knowledge of metal joining processes such as welding and brazing. Experience with process automation and machine connectivity, along with strong project management and communication skills is preferred. Primary Responsibilities: - Applies knowledge and coordinates with other organizations to improve manufacturing operations.
- Independently executes tasks on multiple engineering projects.
- Participates in cross functional teams to ensure effective deployment to live production.
- Prioritizes tasks to ensure that the team's overall resources are used effectively and that deadlines are met.
- Develops current knowledge of Industry 4.0 technologies and develop related project proposals.
- Effectively communicates with operations and technical leadership on proposals and active projects. Basic Qualifications:
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field or in absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience .
- 2+ years of experience as an industrial or manufacturing engineer.
- U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required .
Preferred Qualifications: - Bachelor's in manufacturing or industrial engineering.
- Background in Manufacturing Support in a high-mix factory.
- Knowledge of metal joining processes.
- IIOT deployment experience.
- Ability to collaborate effectively the organization vertically and horizontally.
