Purpose/Scope Provide support for end-users on all Microsoft Office Products, Windows XP/7, Video Conferencing, Phone equipment and other software products. The Support Specialist assists in Active Directory administration and support of LANs, WANS, servers and other infrastructure equipment Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Act as first point of contact for IT Helpdesk requests
- Receive, log, handle and track helpdesk requests
- Maintain asset database
- Provide 1stand 2nd level support and troubleshooting for all IT related problems including hardware, software, phones, printer, etc.
- Redirect unresolved calls to appropriate IT teams
- Take ownership of user issues and follow up to ensure timely resolution
- Write training manuals and provide basic in-house training for MS Office applications
- Provide IT training for new users
- Document and publish resolutions
- Provide support for Active Directory and SharePoint security
- Support a variety of mobile devices
- Support audio visual equipment
- Support all peripherals, printers, scanners, etc.
- Solve basic network and infrastructure issues
- Assist with installation and support of LANs, WANs, server and other infrastructure equipment
- Maintain daily performance of computer systems
- Upgrade and maintain system hardware and software
- Partner with IT Staff to engineer new solutions for Network security and operations Basic Qualifications
- Associate degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school
- One-year related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience Other Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within IT systems
- Able to maintain a high level of productivity, manage multiple competing priorities, and work effectively under the presser of time constraints Preferred Qualifications
- Four (4) year college degree or equivalent work experience working with various PC's, networks, and software administration
- One (1) year experience working with all types of customers and base needs
- MCP Physical Requirements
- Work a flexible work schedule, that may include working more than 40 hours a week
- Ability to travel
- Office: Move 25lbs (not for all jobs, reasonable accommodations will be made), work with a computer for extended periods of time Work Environment
