The successful candidate will join a team that will use EEG and brain imaging methods to advance the understanding of mental health conditions such as psychosis. The assistant will develop, implement and oversee the EEG collection and analysis work flows. These work flows will quantify EEG metrics.The EEG MRI Research Assistant will be involved in all aspects of EEG, including collection of EEG data in an MRI environment, assembly of comparison EEG data, development of computer processing of EEG data, creation of processing workflows and development of statistical analysis and report generation The candidate will assist in the analysis of MRI data collected on patients. S/he will create, test, debug and verify new and improved workflows as new ideas are proposed and additional data is added to the pool. The EEG MRI Research Assistant will be part of the team that develops and applies complex algorithms which integrate these brain imaging metrics with other participant specific quantifiable measures. Job Duties/Responsibilities: * Perform and oversee collection of research EEG during MRI scans on patient and control populations (50%) * Assemble and organize relevant and available EEG and other data for use in determining population norms for imaging metrics. (10%) * Determine and apply image quality metrics to ensure rejection of unusable EEG and MRI data. (10%) * Develop, implement and verify analysis pipelines for EEG data. (10%) * Develop analysis methods and algorithms that further the goal of understanding mechanisms of mental health (10%) * Communicate the methods developed and implemented for the project to colleagues, at conferences and in publications.
