Who You Are The ideal Apprentice Miller is dependable, safety-focused, and detail-oriented with a strong mechanical aptitude. You are eager to learn, work well both independently and as part of a team, and take pride in maintaining quality and efficiency in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. What You’ll Do As an Apprentice Miller, you’ll play a key role in learning and supporting mill operations to ensure consistent, high-quality flour production while upholding food safety and operational excellence. Your responsibilities will include: Operate and monitor mill processes, including flour transfers, to meet quality and customer specifications Perform quality checks and food safety inspections during production Assist with mill operations, equipment adjustments, and minor repairs Follow all safety and food safety regulations including GMP, HACCP, OSHA, and FDA standards Maintain a clean, safe, and audit-ready work environment Support daily operations and step in for the Head Miller/Shift Miller as needed What We’re Looking For High School Diploma or equivalent required 1–3 years of experience in flour milling, food production, or manufacturing preferred Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting/problem-solving skills Ability to prioritize tasks and work with minimal supervision Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office and related systems) Strong communication skills and willingness to learn and grow Why Join Mennel?
