Medical Social Worker Location: Detroit, MI Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,302 per week Shift Information: Rotating - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 55 Weeks Start Date: 4/13/2026 About the Position Job Title: Social Worker Profession: Social Work Specialty: MSW Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 8 hour and 10 hour shifts available; weekend rotation required Hours per Shift: 40.00 Experience: Minimum 5 years case management experience, including 2 years recent acute inpatient case management experience License: Current licensure as a Social Worker in the State of Michigan: Masters Social Worker license (LMSW) or Limited Masters Social Worker License (LLMSW) Certifications: Valid Michigan driver's license and a dependable vehicle insured as required by the State of Michigan Must-Have: - Knowledge about the care of pediatric and adolescent patients - Previous home care experience Description: The Social Worker provides direct social work services to students and families. They assist with personal and environmental issues surrounding social issues and lifestyle changes. Services may be provided in a home care setting. The Social Worker collaborates with students, families, and school staff to devise effective plans. They aim to meet the needs of pediatric and adolescent students during school and occasionally at home. Social work services are delivered through the implementation of the five phases of the social work process. Referrals to community resources and agencies are provided as needed. Effective communication with students, families, and school staff is essential for promoting satisfaction and achieving goals. The Social Worker coordinates student care with other members of the school staff to ensure desired outcomes. This includes quality and efficient utilization of resources.
