Marie, MI where you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders. Minimum Requirements: Associate or bachelor’s degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program. Active Michigan (MI) state license in good standing. LARA must state Active Michigan/MI License. [REQUIRED] Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification through the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). [REQUIRED] Minimum 2 years of experience as an RRT. [REQUIRED] Active American Heart Association BLS certification. [REQUIRED] Active American Heart Association ACLS certification. [REQUIRED] Active American Heart Association PALS certification. [REQUIRED] Active Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification. [REQUIRED] Work history and skills checklist current to within 1 year, pertinent to Respiratory Therapy. [REQUIRED - DOCUMENT] Two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years. [REQUIRED - DOCUMENT] Previous travel work experience preferred. Candidates must live outside the facility’s 100-mile radius (facility will not consider local candidates). [REQUIRED] Assignment Details Facility type: Hospital. Position: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), Respiratory Services. Job type: Travel. Duration: 13 week assignment. Shift name: Flex Shifts. Shift notes: 36 Hour Guarantee. Weekend requirement: Required. Ideal schedule (client-preferred): Three 12-hour shifts weekly on a 4-week repeating schedule with a 36-hour guarantee. Typical pattern includes Monday and Tuesday 5:30am–6:00pm (12-hr day shifts), select Wednesdays 5:30pm–6:00am (12-hr night), and one weekend 12-hr day shift each rotation. Alternate schedule option: Monday and Tuesday 5:30am–6:00pm (12-hr day shifts) with Wednesday 5:30pm–6:00am (12-hr night) as part of rotation. Responds to Rapid Responses, arrest or STAT situations and provides CPR and life support as required. Candidate must provide required documentation per VMS profile requirements prior to start. Job Description This position, independently or in consultation with a physician, administers medications, performs therapeutic modalities and diagnostic testing for the cardio-pulmonary system, responds to arrest and emergency situations, and provides CPR and life support. Core responsibilities include performing respiratory care evaluations and treatments per protocol, delivering aerosolized medications and metered dose inhalers, maintaining artificial airways and providing cardiac compressions during emergencies, and setting up and maintaining oxygen therapy according to protocol.
