Located in Grand Blanc, MI, this contract position offers a rewarding opportunity for a Mental Health Specialist with a masters degree and a Michigan LARA license. The role focuses on providing social and emotional support to general education students through individual and group interventions, as well as offering assistance to classrooms and school buildings by supporting professional learning and implementing positive behavior programs. Key Qualifications: Masters degree with required professional licensure or credentials, including one of the following: Licensed masters level social worker (LMSW or under supervision) Licensed masters level psychologist or school psychologist credentials Licensed masters level marriage and family therapist or professional counselor Licensed bachelor level social worker currently pursuing LMSW or LLMSW within 24 months Valid School Counselor License or related teaching credentials with required endorsements or pathway to licensure within 24 months Michigan LARA license (details available at the Michigan Government website for licensing) Experience providing social-emotional support in a school setting, supporting students individually and in groups Ability to assist with professional learning and behavior program implementation in classrooms Responsibilities: Deliver social-emotional interventions directly to general education students Support classrooms and school staff through consultation and program implementation Contribute to a positive learning environment by supporting behavior initiatives Collaborate with educational teams to meet student mental health needs Benefits:This role provides a meaningful way to impact student well-being in a school environment while working on a contract basis in the Grand Blanc area.
